Step into the enchantment of Egypt with “Treasures of the Nile” a 7-days, 6-nights tour designed for both grand exploration and intimate discovery. This journey combines the iconic wonders of Luxor and Cairo with the serene luxury of a Dahabiya Nile cruise from Aswan to Esna . Witness ancient temples illuminated by the setting sun, explore majestic archaeological sites away from the crowds, and delve into millennia of history and culture.
Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, our team will meet and assist you with your connection for your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight.
After breakfast and check-out from your hotel, begin your Aswan exploration. Visit the beautiful Philae Temple, rescued from the Nile’s rising waters, and marvel at the modern engineering of the High Dam. Afterwards, transfer to the Nile where you will embark on your luxurious Dahabiya. After a warm welcome from the crew, the boat sets sail. Enjoy lunch on the sundeck as you cruise towards a small island for a tranquil walk through the serene countryside. In the afternoon, visit the unique Kom Ombo Temple, Egypt’s only double temple, dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Haroeris, with its distinct double entrances and sanctuaries. Continue sailing to the ancient sandstone quarries at Gebel el-Silsila, where you’ll explore the site and admire rock-cut shrines. Enjoy dinner on board.
After a delicious breakfast, you’ll delve deeper into Gebel el-Silsila, exploring its rock temple and the remains of monuments in the old quarries. As daily life on the riverbanks gets underway and the first fishermen are at work, you can relax on the sundeck while the crew sails leisurely to Edfu. Here, you’ll visit the fantastically well-preserved Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Its innermost walls are completely covered in texts, earning it the title of a “library carved in stone.” The day culminates with a memorable dinner around a campfire on a small, picturesque Nile Island.
Enjoy breakfast as your Dahabiya sails to El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb. Explore its significant archaeological sites, including temples and rock tombs from the Old Kingdom. Visit some of the fascinating tombs cut into the cliffs and the remains of its ancient temples. Afterwards, return to your Dahabiya as you continue sailing towards Esna. This evening marks your third and last night on board your luxurious Dahabiya.
